Research and Innovations are the indicators of wealth and development. Have had more than two decades of intensive research experiences. Did PhD on ‘Information Seeking Behaviour of Agricultural Scientists working in select ICAR institutions in Delhi and Punjab Agricultural University, Ludhiana: A study”. After obtaining the PhD in 2007, since then engaged in guiding research at PhD and M. Phil levels on the areas of Information Seeking Behaviours, Metric Studies, Knowledge Organisation, Citation Studies, ICT Applications in Libraries, Academic Application of Social Media, Management Libraries and HRD, Electronic Resources and Information Wealth. Successfully supervised 10 doctoral theses, 25 M. Phil dissertations,110 MLIS projects.  In addition, Prof. Singh is the first teacher in the department who successfully completed four Major Research Projects as Principal Investigator funded by DRDO-Aeronautics Research & Development Board (AR&DB) and University Grants Commission.
